Our subconscious minds hold memories of the past and beliefs that were created when we were children. Some of these beliefs aren’t meant for us and can actually be holding us back. For example, if you didn’t get great grades growing up you may have taken on the belief that you aren’t an intelligent person and therefore you struggle landing the career that you want. Or maybe you didn’t make the soccer team and now there’s this feeling of never being “good enough” and you stop yourself from putting yourself out there. We form thoughts and beliefs about ourselves based on our experiences as children, but as children we weren’t logically able to make sense of a lot of things which is why we often times end up with beliefs that don’t actually support or serve us.
This guided meditation will encourage you to “go back in time” and re-visit a memory or a feeling from the past. You will be encouraged to re-experience whatever you’re working with in a way that feels healing and empowering. Sometimes you may feel/see/experience a lot, other times it might seem like nothing is coming up. Both are okay, as your subconscious mind is always listening. Using these regularly will be most beneficial. The guided section is about 15 minutes long, but the track is about 30 minutes long. You can choose to stay in the meditation for as long as you need. Many find that journaling after a meditation session can be a helpful way to process anything that comes up.
